Located adjacent to the SeaLink vehicular ferry wharf, the proposed site is already a modified coastline and is considered suitable for additional commercial use.

The proposal envisages 80 carparks for the marina being built on a floating carpark structure.  This will be accessed off Donald Bruce Road.

Waiheke Island is a wonderful place to live or visit, and a marina would enable locals and boaties to access the Island in a whole new way.  Local demand is strong and people would finally be able to moor their vessels securely close to home.  Never before have family and friends been able to arrive to the island by private vessel for day trips or overnight stays.  With temporary visitor berths planned for the new marina finally boaties could go ashore and enjoy all that Waiheke has to offer whilst comfortable in the knowledge that their vessel is safely moored.
