The Project Team

Kennedy Point Marina is being developed by Kennedy Point Boatharbour Limited and its subsidiary Kennedy Point Marina Development Limited, New Zealand owned companies established by Tony Mair.  The marina will be owned and operated by Kennedy Point Boatharbour Limited once it is built.

The key personnel managing the project are: 

Tony Mair M.I.P.E.N.Z - Project Director

 

Tony Mair is a civil engineer with 50 years’ experience in heavy civil construction and has specialized in marina development for the last 30 years.  Tony is New Zealand’s leading marina developer with a direct involvement in the construction of over 6000 berths locally and overseas with 17 completed projects.  Tony has a lifetime involvement in boating is a member of the Institute of Professional Engineers of New Zealand and is now a “Life member”

Mark Schmack - Marina Operations and Sales

 

Mark Schmack has a Naval back ground of 8 years focused on Electronic Control Systems and travelled extensively during that period. Most recently Mark started the Management Company for Orakei Marina in 2006  (with Sarah) and a business partner.  Mark managed Orakei Management Limited with a staff of 25, covering all aspects of the boating industry for the last 12 years.  Now focusing full time on the Kennedy Point Marina Project.

Sarah Schmack - Sales & Marketing

 

Sarah Schmack (Tony’s daughter) led the marketing and sales team for the successful Orakei Marina project and assisted with the establishment and opening of the Orakei Marina.  Sarah will lead the sales and marketing programme for Kennedy Point and assist in developing the operational systems for the completed project.

Scott Fickling - Construction

 

Over the last 19 years Scott Fickling has established the successful marine construction company STF and has specialized in all aspects of work for the marine structures owned by Auckland Council.  Scott was project manager for the recently completed Sandspit marina.   Scott has recently sold the majority share holding in STF to join the project team for Kennedy Point.

Kitt Littlejohn - Legal & Consents

 

Kitt Littlejohn is a lawyer and professional director.  Kitt successfully represented the development company through the consenting phase of the project and is continuing his involvement with the development as an independent director and internal adviser.
